HIRAKI SAWA
Eight Minutes | London | 2005 | 8m 48s
single channel video | black & white | silent
Artificial landscapes, unexpected worlds, domestic and imaginary spaces interwoven, presences both felt and remembered… I work to create places, and a sense of changing, shifting perspective inside what is most familiar and commonplace. Traveling to faraway places while remaining within the confines of my own room. Keeping very still to catch a glimpse of the invisible things – creatures and other inhabitants – on the edges and in the cracks, right up close.
